So I play a lot with 3 other friends, almost every other night we're jammin' it up in BGO. It makes for a good drinking game.
But probably the only major complaint we have is that jukebox manipulation is the most undeveloped feature. We religiously vow to listen to whatever someone puts on the jukebox, but we're upset that the method for song choosing is relatively random. Even in a 500 turn game, with 4 players we have some games where someone just never gets to pick a song and is forced to use Hypno glasses or something just to have a chance. I'm suggesting a few different routes and results, here.
1) A game mode selectable at game creation. Jukebox: Random, or Jukebox: Round Robin. Random would be the way it is now, with no changes. Round Robin would ensure that when the song timer ends, whoever's turn it is to choose the song (determined by a round robin algorithm rather than who the current player is, like it is now) gets to pick, and is given the screen to pick the song at the start of the next player's turn, regardless if it's their turn or not. Disregarding who the current player's turn is stops stuff like the jukebox being silent for up to several minutes while the chosen player waits for his turn so he can pick.
2) An item purchaseable at a shop of some kind that allows the player to change the jukebox song. All this would do is just bring up the current jukebox selection menu that exists in-game. This can either be an instantaneous effect that cuts off the current playing song, or 'guarantee' that at the end, he will be the player that gets to choose the next one. I'm for having it cut off the song, myself. Maybe the players really regret the choice they made and want it off the jukebox asap. XD
I'd be all for just having option 1 available right now. It seems a much quicker and easier solution than having to draw up logistics for a new item and stuff.
